The departure as of December 2012 will be from Sinquirem Jetty.

The Vailenkanni and the fleet of Prince of Tides boats is run by Suse, a local very keen fishing boat owner his boats range from 24 seaters to 12 seaters, fully insured and licensed, in accordance with Captain of Ports regulations, Panjim.  The Vailenkanni has a new 9.9 HP engine, seating for 6 people and is equipped to go lure fishing within local waters.  The vessel is not shaded because we fish at 1600 hours till around 1830 hours.  There is no fixed toilet.  She is licensed to carry 6 passengers and 2 crew.  With me and Tony on board it means only four guest on-board, otherwise it gets over-crowded.  We do beers and water, but can put anything on-board you might like, please lets us know.  Costs are 2000 rupees per rod.  We can take sight-seers for the dolphins and sunset at 500 rupees per person.

Dean and Tony are English guys, resident in Goa, who love fishing and have had some wonderful fishing with Suse and the “Vailenkanni”.  At the request of many tourists visiting Goa we have started a business in partnership with him that aims to bring to you the opportunity to enjoy lure fishing with probably the most knowledgeable and safety conscious boat skipper in Goa, and two Englishmen who have lived and fished here for 13 years, and who also believe in providing an experience that combines local expertise and an English standard of quality and safety in fishing.  In essence when you come with us you are our guests for the trip.  We are serious about our fishing which is why we fish even when we have guests on board.

Whilst Suse provides the boat and its crew, his knowledge of local waters and an eye that can spot fish from miles away - Dean and Tony provide top of the range Shimano Interline trolling rods and reels, in conjunction with the famous Rapalla range of trolling lures amongst others.   The equipment and tackle we provide is second to none.  No experience is necessary to enjoy this type of fishing as we provide full support to you, with an additional crew member, so that you can relax and take in the views and the dolphins that we see whilst on the move.

The boat allows 6 fixed trolling positions and 2 non-fishing passengers.  Dean and Tony fish two rods which means that there are four remaining fishing positions available.  We provide a quality fishing experience for our guests.

Our skipper Suse has 6 one room flats now available at very reasonable rates, newly built, Satellie TV, kettle, air conditioning etc, 100 yards from his shack "Prince of Tides", and the sea - 100 yards walking distance - call his wife Jenny Lobo on +91 9822162245 or text her, alternatively post a message from the front page on on our webiste, hit the HOME button above, with a request for information and I will pass it on.  I am building Prince of Tides website at this time.

Their shack now boasts all new outfittings and a much smarter and pleasant experience.  They have a new Tandoor chef and facility, attached to the side of the shack, brick built and  the food there is delicious.  If you stay at their house I would suggest its a great place for breakfast......I have been showing them how to do english style eggs that you splash with the fat, and a few other english style foods, so go try it please.

As with all fishing there are no guarantees of any fish being caught otherwise it would be called "catching", but in the last 11 years there have only been the very rare days when no fish at all have been caught.

Never-the-less we have gotten some serious fish over the years including 40 kilo groupers, 40 kilo rays, 30 kilo barramundi, 10 kilo kingfish, 10 kilo Indian salmon, 10 kilo red snappers, and many bream, trevally, tuna and other fish that are attracted to our lures (see photos in Gallery on the Home Page).  The boat also has an on-board refreshment facility that provides water and beers at a reasonable price and is run by us for your enjoyment.

Deposits are required when booking as follows:

The deposit is non-refundable for cancellation within 24 hours of trip date, or for a non-attendance. Punctuality is of the utmost importance so please do not be late, time, tide and this boat waits for nobody.

We depart from Sinquerim Jetty.  Any taxi driver will take you there no problem…but we also have included a small map to help with directions (see directions) and also in there are contact numbers for our taxi drivers, I recommend you use them for your holidays, we have others so contact us if you want to.  Realise that taxi fares here vary wildly deepending on the honesty off the driver.  Ours are trustworthy.

We fish every Tuesday and Saturday - weather permitting from 1600 hours till approx. 1900 hrs. We can also provide alternative days but they may already be booked so early notice would be helpful.

If we have to cancel we will notify you as soon as possible and you will be totally refunded any deposit – alternative dates will be offered.  Unlike other fishing boats we do not charge for lost tackle, this includes lures and all other gear.  It’s worth checking this before you book with other boats.  Most lures cost between 500 rupees and a 2000 rupees so be sure to check.  We mostly fish between 50 m and 200 m from the shore and we are usually trolling within 15 mins of departure, and the wildlife is fantastic.

Crocodile trips and crabbing trips are available. Crocodiles can be up to 14 foot long just lounging on the river mud and banks….ask for details!!!!!!  Also crab fishing trips where you catch the crabs, see l a load of bird-life and then eat the crabs with chips and salad, masalla or garlic fry to your taste..............mmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!! 1000 rupees per person
